Kuang Si falls by Emma

Yesterday I went to the waterfall. We got a tuk tuk there. When we got there, we saw some bears who had been rescued, in a large enclosure. One  of the bears was just standing on his hands.

After that, we went to see which was the best level at the waterfall (there were 3 swimming areas). While my Dad and I were swimming, a water snake swam past us! It was about one and a half metres long. They are harmless, but I still got scared and went to another level of the waterfall. There were some rope swings at the falls. We weren't allowed to go on them because Mum and Dad thought it was too dangerous! (Note from Katy; medical provision in Laos is very limited, as some of you may have heard us fretting about!!)

We had to go back to the tuk tuk at 12:30, so as our last activity we went to see the bears being fed. The man hid some mango and watermelon, and the bears had to find it all.

We got a drink and leapt in the tuk tuk.  Aaahh..what a good day...the water fall rules.

P.S. really cute bear cubs..
