Starting off :
We got the train down to London on Wednesday and we stayed with our friends the Hackneys. Daddy's bag was extremely heavy. My bag wasn't too bad, but it made my shoulders ache a bit.
The next morning Jonny dropped us the airport ready for our 11 hour flight. The plane had TVs in the headrest in front, so we could choose our own movies, or games to play. We tried to have a sleep on the plane, as there is a time difference of 8 hours from Britain to Hong Kong (Hong Kong is 8 hours ahead) but I only managed to fall asleep an hour before the plane landed.
When we landed, our friend Avinash was waiting at the airport at the airport door to pick us up. Then we went to Avinashs flat to settle in. There was an amazing view out of the windows of Avinashs flat - to the front you could see the airport, and to the back you could see mountains. The airport is built on water - on reclaimed land (Daddy told me that bit), and Avinash says that all of the water in front of his apartment will eventually
be reclaimed and built on. Sent by Emma
We spent the morning going up the cable car on lantau island. I chose a crystal cable car which meant we could see through the bottom of it!!! My dad was a really big wimp and got scared when i sat on the glass floor. He was scared it was going to break the glass!! At the top we went to see a giant Buddha
I think we might have been a bit disrespectful:)
(These people are supposed to be praying but the man in front of us had a newspaper!!)
Because of the time difference, I fell asleep at 5 o'clock. I tried to stay awake, but got very grumpy and eventually Mum and Dad let me sleep.
