Don't look down by Emma
On Friday we went to the Sydney fish market.
It is a big place with lots of different fish for sale. The first thing we saw was octopus and squid.
We saw an orange fish with a giant eye.
There were some live crabs that had their pincers tied up, and there was a sign saying that they could really hurt you, so not to touch.
The lobsters for sale were trying to escape, and I thought some of them looked plastic.
One of my favourite fish was red and blue with razor sharp teeth. I also liked the one next to that which was stripy. We saw a man scratching the scales off the fish, and I discovered that people actually eat rays!!
Next we walked to Darling Harbour. As we were walking, we saw a water fountain, so Megan and I put our feet in to cool down and walked round it.
Then we set off again, and found a great park right next to the harbour. We played for a while then made our way to the ferry to Watson's Bay where there is nudist beach and an old lighthouse.
On our walk round to the lighthouse, we had to pass the nudist beach which was below the coastal path. There were people on the beach with no clothes on; some were swimming and some were sun bathing. There was no way we were going on it! We carried on walking round to the lighthouse, then back to the main beach.
I thought Watson's Bay was pretty, but as for the nudist beach...let's just say it was a different experience!!
